Dr. Robert W. Van Boven, MD, DDS

Board-certified neurologist with 18 years of experience in traumatic brain injury, personal injury neurology, and advanced neuroimaging.

Dr. Robert W. Van Boven

Dr. Robert W. Van Boven is a board-certified neurologist with 18 years of experience dedicated to the most difficult neurological cases — the traumatic brain injuries that go undiagnosed, the concussions dismissed as "mild," and the personal-injury patients whose lives were altered but whose scans came back "normal."

He completed neurology residency training at Harvard and Northwestern University, followed by post-doctoral fellowships at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the National Institutes of Health. His dual training in dentistry and medicine gives him a rare vantage on craniofacial injury and its downstream neurological consequences.

Dr. Van Boven has published extensively on diffusion tensor imaging, olfactory dysfunction as a TBI biomarker, and the neuroanatomy of post-concussion syndrome. Beyond the clinic, he serves as an expert witness in personal injury cases nationwide and lectures at medical conferences on advanced TBI diagnostics.
